At The Art Institute of Houston, students develop practical skills that prepare them to pursue entry-level positions in the creative arts. Programs incorporate traditional liberal arts and hands-on instruction. Twelve bachelor's degrees and five associate degree programs are offered at the school.

The Art Institute of Houston offers bachelor's degree programs in audio production, culinary management, design and technical graphics, digital filmmaking and video production, fashion and retail management, food and beverage management, graphic design, interior design, media arts and animation, photography, visual effects and motion graphics, and Web design and interactive media. Associate degree programs are available in baking and pastry, culinary arts, graphic design, restaurant and catering management, and Web design and interactive media. A diploma program is offered in culinary arts. The bachelor's degree programs in culinary management, interior design, and Web design and interactive media, as well as the Associate of Applied Science degree program in culinary arts are available in an evening and weekend option format.
